Chapter Members: There are approximately 180 members in our chapter. We strive to keep the meeting planner/supplier ratio at 50:50. The Oregon Chapter is part of global community of 60,000 meeting and event professionals including more than 17,000 engaged members and its Plan Your Meetings audience. It has more than 90 chapters and clubs in 24 countries.

Essential Membership:  Provides access to MPI’s online tools and resources, including free education webinars, recorded event sessions, membership directory, job board, MyMPI Online Community, industry research, member discounts, e-newsletters, The Meeting Professional magazine, and more.

Preferred Membership:  Includes all of the Essential Membership benefits plus chapter affiliation, special member rates to chapter events, and CMP application assistance.

Premier Membership – Designed for highly active members, this level provides all of the benefits offered with the Essential and Preferred memberships as well as direct marketing lists, VIP passes to MPI Global signature events, advanced previews of MPI’s Meetings Outlook quarterly research report, one-on-one career and academic counseling, and the Concierge Line, which provides immediate access to MPI Member Services.  In addition to the Premier benefits provided by MPI, the Oregon Chapter offers even more recognition and benefits.

Student memberships are available for $40 per year. Student member applicants must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) semester credit hours.

Chapter Meetings: Meetings take place September to June with special/social events throughout the year. Meetings are usually held in the Portland metropolitan area. MPI 101 is held twice a year for new members or for current and potential members wanting to know more about the chapter. Go to our Calendar of Events for information on our next meeting.

Cascadia Educational Conference:  A three-day annual education conference is held in March.

Cost of Meetings: Typical monthly lunch meetings are $35 for members, $45 for non-members and guests if registered prior to the deadline. Late registration is $45 for members and $55 for non-members.

Chapter Committees: Joining a committee helps you learn more about the chapter and the meetings industry as well as helping you network and gain working and personal relationships with members.
