The MPI Foundation provides MPI members professional development and career opportunities through grants and scholarships and propels the meeting and event industry forward by funding pan-industry research.
MPI Foundation scholarships are accepted on an ongoing basis. Applications received by the end of the month will receive notification by the end of the following month.
Conference scholarships follow the normal application cycle and will be reviewed each month. To allow adequate time for registration and travel arrangements, application deadlines are listed below. We encourage applicants to submit their applications as early as possible.

Scholarships are available for new MPI members for both planners and suppliers. Membership fees will be paid directly to MPI – recipients will not receive reimbursements for membership fees.
Scholarships are available to all MPI members in good standing for industry-related development programs that are a part of the MPI Academy such as Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Certificate in Meeting Management (CMM), Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate (HMCC), and the Experiential Event Series.
Scholarships will be awarded up to $2,000 (amount varies based on sponsor, program fees, and committee approvals) to be applied toward the registration fees and study materials for the program.
Scholarships are available to all MPI members in good standing towards attendance at industry-related educational conferences such as MPI’s World Education Conference (WEC), European Meetings and Events Conference (EMEC), and IMEX America and Frankfurt.
Scholarships will be awarded up to $2,800 to be applied toward registration fees, airfare and accommodations. Amount varies based on sponsor, program fees, and committee approvals
International Centre Scholarship – Open to Canadian MPI members only, available to those currently enrolled in an events and/or hospitality program at the college or university level. Three scholarships available for $500 CAD each towards their tuition.
Rosen Hotels & Resorts Four Year Scholarship – Three (3) Four-year scholarships available to attend the University of Central Florida/Rosen College. Scholarship awards will cover all unmet financial needs up to $10,000 as determined by the FAFSA for Fall and Spring semesters only for eight (8) consecutive semesters.

Soar Scholarship Program
The purpose of the SOAR Scholarship Program is to recognize an individual MPI Canada Chapter member who has demonstrated exceptional volunteerism to their MPI chapter and community. Those members who truly go “above and beyond”. One MPI volunteer member will receive a SOAR Scholarship for each of the eight MPI Canada Chapters, on an annual term basis. Scholarship recipients will be selected by local chapter boards. The individual scholarship recipient will receive a framed certificate, along with a $500CDN scholarship to be used for MPI programs and activities.

MCI Chapter Grant
These grants provide chapters the opportunity to have MCI present quality education to its members at no cost. Chapters will be able to select a session from the three topics provided by MCI.
The Parking Spot Chapter Grant
These grants provide Chapters funds to present one of three pre-developed programs developed for MPI Chapters. These grants are available to those Chapters located in a region with an airport Parking Spot Location.
Disney Destinations Chapter Grant
The Disney Destinations Chapter Grants provide exciting and rich content to chapters to provide quality educational opportunities to their members. Disney Destinations will provide an education session presented by qualified Disney cast members to five (5) chapters. Non-cash deliverable
PSAV Chapter Grant
The MPI Foundation has developed education content through research with PSAV. The chapter grant will provide a PSAV representative to deliver the educational session to its members.
FMAV Chapter Grants
These grants provide Canadian chapters the opportunity to have FMAV present a 90-minute and full-day session to its members. The FMAV Chapter Grant is only available for Canadian chapters and is non-cash deliverable.
Ready. Set. Meet! Chapter Grant
These grants are for Chapters that need funding assistance to present one of the three pre-developed programs available for MPI Chapters. The $1,500 grant can be used by chapters to assist with speaker fees and accommodations, marketing of the program, venue rental, A/V costs, etc.
The objective with these programs is to provide Chapters with funding ($2500) to assist in the creation of programs that effectively educate our members on a peer-to-peer basis. Rewarded programs will be recognized by The MPI Foundation and made available for other Chapters to utilize.
